Time slips through our fingers, and the ‘little’ moments we thought would last forever become memories.

I’ve always known learning wasn’t confined to lessons or flashcards. Even before I became a mother, I sensed it: true learning lives in the unscripted moments.

✨ In the way she stops to study a ladybug’s wings, her breath held in wonder.
✨ In the way she splashes through rain puddles, science unfolding in every ripple.
✨ In the way she tugs my sleeve and points to the moon, her eyes wide with discovery.

But here’s what I didn’t expect: How much I’d need to unlearn.

• To quiet the whispers of doubt that say, “Am I enough?”
• To trust that her curiosity—wherever it’s nurtured—knows the way.
• To remember that connection, not comparison, is the soil where growth takes root.

Home isn’t just a place. It’s the steady rhythm of “I see you”—whether we’re kneading dough together, spotting shapes in the clouds, or reuniting after a day apart. It’s the safety that lets her explore boldly, knowing love waits for her.

I don’t want to miss her.
Not her silent “Look!” as she finds magic in ordinary things.
Not the sparkle in her eyes when the world reveals its secrets to her.

That’s why I choose this path:

We won’t get it all right. But the goal was never perfection.

The goal is her hand in mine as we wander.
The goal is her knowing, deep in her bones, that she is seen.
The goal is this: right here, right now, fully alive to each other.

So let’s slow down.

The laundry can wait.
The emails can wait.

But her childhood? It’s slipping through my fingers like sand.
